We want you to escape in our arty salon as we create a style you’ll love when you leave us - and fall more in love with as you care for it at home. Our stylists are passionate about their craft. It’s how we’ve made our place as Wellington’s home for beautiful hair. 

 

MANE LOVES HAIR

We have a shared ethos that your hair should reflect who you are, your dreams and lifestyle needs. Curated by Color Master, Janine Simons, our award winning team of stylists have trained internationally and refined their skills working backstage at fashion weeks and on photoshoots.

Education is at our core. On Tuesdays we host the MANE Salon Training where our newer stylists develop their skills under the guidance of our education team. 

At MANE we exclusively use Kevin Murphy and ELEVEN products to care for and improve the condition of your hair.

MANE LOVES OUR SPACE

With our destination salon in Ghuznee Street, MANE is designed with your escape and relaxation in mind. Our space is contemporary, warm, light, and plush with native plants. We support local artists through commissioning artworks for our salon, and we buy independent and local magazines. As we take care of your hair needs, we’ll also serve you fresh coffee and organic teas.  

MANE LOVES SUSTAINABLE

We’re committed to delivering beautiful hair that doesn’t cost the earth. Kevin Murphy and ELEVEN products are paraben and sulphate free, and are not tested on animals. 

As a proud member of Sustainable Salons, our salon waste is sorted where most is recycled into new products, keeping the materials in circulation and out of the ocean. 100% of our colour tubes, tin foil and plastic bottles are recycled, and our hair clippings are used in initiatives such as making hair booms to soak up oil spills. Tackling the 150 million tons of plastic litter already in the ocean, Kevin Murphy is helping with the clean-up by making their bottles from 100% reclaimed Ocean Waste Plastic. At MANE we also reuse our product tubs for plant and hair tool containers, make our own eco-friendly cleaning products and use biodegradable, bamboo fibre Bio-Towels. 

We also love people and are passionate about playing a part in our community. Every year we support a local charity through fundraising, hosting events and using our time and hairdressing skills to help those in need.
